Clothing Brand Print and Audio Advert Research - Unit 20

Clothing brands are the limelight of today’s society with fashion being the main priority. People around the world like to identify themselves in many ways and like to use fashion to do this. It is important that clothing brands advertise what they have on offer. This is because it allows potential customers to see what offers the brand are making, and is a good way of exposing the brand further. There are many ways that messages and offers can get across to an audience. The ones I am doing  and going to focus on, are print and audio based advertisements, which we have seen a variety of other clothing brands choosing to expose their brands in these methods.

For print based adverts, we will see adverts being printed on billboards, buses, shop windows etc.  . This is due to the fact these places that you will see these ads are places, the environment is usually flooded with crowds of people going about their normal, everyday business lives or shopping around. For example, you have brands such as Alessandro Zavetti , Moda Bandidos and Lost Soles. These are brands that are inspiring this brands. With the likes of Alessandro Zavetti, as they are an established brand that have been round in shops for a while, they have their own shops and website. Due to this, there will be print based adverts in windows and billboards.

Alessandro Zavetti Shop Print Ad

Here we have a window advertisement for Alessandro Zavetti. It shows the simple layout of what a print based advert would need. This is promoting a Pop-up store being up for the brand. This is stated clearly on the image. It is contemporary as it shows modern styles, typefaces and includes the socials, as well as it being presented in a way that most of the fashion industry would showcase shop window adverts. The most important aspect is that the name and logo of the brand is based on the image. It is clear and you know what brand it is by just looking at the advertisement.

STONE Mens Fashion Print Ad

This advert is again another print based which you will most likely see on a high street advertisement board or the shop window, as well as a potential appearance in a magazine. This advert clearly states what it is offering and exposing. As it states, it is promoting the new collection by STONE, which is a newer fashion wear. We know this as it states through the representation of the ad, with the fonts differentiating and the use of the colour fitting in well with the clothes the model is wearing. This advert is also showcasing an offer which is available for buyers. The way this is presented is vital as it has been broken up from the original concept of the poster, and makes it the first thing you see on the page, due to the different colour from the background and it being placed in the middle of the page, near the model, promoting what is on offer. This will make it hard to miss for anyone, especially those who take time to closely inspect the poster. It again fits in with the modern society of today as it includes social media links and even a barcode. The barcode can be useful for being in a magazine, which allows the readers to scan the code and potentially learn a little

AUDIO ADVERT

As I am doing print advertisement, I thought it would be good to also contribute to some audio advertising. This is because it is rare to hear any clothing brands take to the radios and promote their product. It may be rare, however there were some adverts that did appear on the radio promoting their
